These Students Donated Their Senior Trip Money To Their Principal's Cancer Treatment

Get your tissues ready.

The senior class at Profile Junior-Senior High School in Bethlehem, New Hampshire, decided that their class trip money needed to go to their principal, who had been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

The students gave Courtney Vashaw nearly $8,000 to go towards her treatment.

A week after telling her students her diagnosis, they knew they had to do something. The senior class all took a vote, and decided she deserved every penny of their trip money they'd been saving up for the past four years.

All the students told Vashaw they needed to see her for a senior class meeting, and then surprised her with the incredible news.

Class Treasurer Ian Baker told WMUR 9, "She's very caring, very selfless, and we wanted to be selfless too."

She had always taught students to do something more for others, and they took that to heart.
