Featuring pub grub, Chelsea buns, and out-of-this-world jacket potatoes.
Fish and chips at the Anchor
This is probably the cosiest pub you'll ever find. It's right by the river, so you can watch people punting in the summer- and it has an open fire, so you'll be toasty warm in the winter. All of their pub grub is excellent, but their fish and chips are unbeatable.
Ice cream at Benet's
Nothing beats wandering down King's Parade with an ice cream from Benet's in the summer. And it's worth a visit in the winter too; they do heavenly mulled wine.
Jacket potatoes at Tatties
Nothing will cure your hangover quite as effectively as a Tatties jacket potato. The cheese, beans, and veggie sausage option is particularly delicious. And, believe me, they don't skimp on portion size.
Vegetarian lasagne at the Rainbow Cafe
Everything on the menu at this vegetarian and vegan cafe is mouth-wateringly delicious, but their lasagne is especially good. And if you go back a second time, try the three bean chili. It's amazing.
