We all know these 'best love songs' lists where Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and/or Adele are always in the top 10. But, what about some great other love songs that deserve more credit because they are so sweet? This does NOT have to be in the 'alternative' genre, I'm just referring to alternatives to the beforementioned artists.
So give it your all, be it old or new, slow or up-tempo, singer-songwriter or progressive metal, whatever you like! Here are a few examples of mine:
Guillemots - If the World Ends [Indie] (Beautiful apocalyptic lovesong)
The Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin [Classic rock] (Singing I Love You over and over has never sounded so amazing)
Elbow - Great Expectations [Alternative] (This live session video is just awesome. Truly love the lyrics)
The Postal Service - Such Great Hights [Alternative] (This would have been mentioned a thousand times in the comments, and rightly so)
